This workshop centres the children's learning around the story of the Little Red Hen.
Using the story as inspiration, children will learn about how wheat grows, the processes involved in creating our food as well as important life lessons about helping and sharing with each other.
You'll see our 18th Century working watermill in action and our Miller will show you how grain is turned into flour. Children will then use the flour to make their own bread roll to take home.
The children will have the opportunity to play with our grain tray, recreate the Little Red Hen story using simple props and make their own badge inspired by the story's characters.
