Visit the Roman Baths to discover what life was like for people living in Welwyn over 1,750 years ago. You'll receive a tour of the Bath House from one of our Museum Guides and learn how to take a bath, Roman style. You'll also explore the technology behind the building, learn how Roman life impacted on others and how this remarkable site was discovered by local archaeologists in the 1960s. You'll then have an opportunity to find out more about Roman life through a trail exploring the site and artefacts found here.

Full Day Workshop
Extend your visit to a full day workshop by then travelling to The Watermill at Hatfield (school to provide transport) to continue to explore more about Roman life. Your class can choose options from a carousel of activities such as object handling, undertaking a mini archaeological dig, experiencing Roman games and pastimes, using Quern stones during a visit to the Mill or creating a clay face pot to take home.
Price: £11.00 per child
